The Anniversary Collection
We’re excited to introduce our Anniversary Collection - 20 unique, limited-edition designs in our signature neutral color palette, recycled ribbed fabric, and upcycled, golden rings we sourced in the early 2000s. Cue the nostalgia. If you’re new to our community, welcome. This is how it all started…
Vitamin A through the years, 2000-2020
A little piece of history. Our Designer and Founder Amahlia Stevens grew up on the beach in Southern California, with a love of nature in her DNA. Before Vitamin A, she designed for influential brands Patagonia, Levis Strauss & Co., Hollister, and Stüssy. It was her time with Patagonia Founder, Yvon Chouinard, that inspired her to create her own sustainable swimwear.

Working with the top mills in Italy, Canada, and California, Amahlia crafted her own material made from recycled nylon after being told by suppliers there was no market for it. In 2010, she introduced EcoLux - the first premium swim fabric made from recycled nylon. Today, she continues to pioneer new eco-friendly materials, while leading the swim industry into a more sustainable future. Now that’s a girl boss if you ask us.

"It's clear that the future of fashion is sustainability, and we hope to be a part of the solution, both in combating climate change and promoting female empowerment."
